🎶Fall season is finally here bestieeeeeee 🎶

I'm breaking out my my fall candle, sweater blanket, and recipes for this post. I can't be the only southern girl dying to usher in fall already, like what do you mean its still 90°F outside?! Its above me now bestie, I'm ready for fall and officially blocking out anything reminding me otherwise 😂.

Now, I know the last time that we left off, our conversation centered around those of us who are trying to be a little more responsible with our CC folders (myself included), but hear me out! I've rounded up three adorable Sims 2 food CC finds that are perfect for bringing a little fall into your game. If you are apart of the free newsletter you already knew this post was coming, so I am adding two bonus downloads, because I so could not help myself.

1. Warm, Gooey Cinnamon Rolls Drizzled in Sweet Glaze by Mishka Midsummer

Is there anything better than a warm cinnamon roll paired with a glass of warm milk? I'll wait, absolutely not! Now, I don't know about you, but cinnamon rolls don't seem to last more than a day at my house. And every year, social media just seems to come out with a new fall cinnamon roll recipe that just makes me drool over my phone. In fact, this is me giving myself a reminder that I still need to try and make those pumpkin spice cinnamon rolls recipe I found last year. 🤤 I mean, have you seen those bad boys?! Friend, go look, but don't blame me if you gain 10 pounds just by looking at the screen.

And now, thanks to Mishka Midsummer, our Sims can enjoy a freshly baked batch of cinnamon rolls too! If you didn't know, this food mod is actually a rework of AriesFlare's original cinnamon rolls. The difference is that with AriesFlare's version, your Sims simply grab the finished cinnamon rolls from the fridge and eat them directly, whereas with Mishka Midsummer's version, your Sims will prepare and bake the cinnamon rolls before they eat. Each batch makes six servings, and the best part? The cinnamon rolls actually disappear from the serving platter as your Sims take a portion!

A few things to know:

• If you already have AriesFlare's cinnamon roll version and plan to remove and add this one, as suggested in the post, I would actually also consider using The Memory Commander to eliminate any memories/favorite food preferences surrounding AriesFlare's cinnamon rolls.

2. Creamy Pumpkin Spice Lattes in a Cute Pumpkin Mug by Nika Onishko

Now, what would a fall-themed food roundup be without a pumpkin spice latte... or pumpkin spiced anything for that matter? Look I've heard the rumors, that the "basic girlies" like pumpkin spiced lattes. Well call me basic, because I like it and I am not afraid to say it! Who's going to check me? Exactly, friend ( ˘︹˘ )🖐️. So, in the spirit of being who you are and liking what you like, I introduce to you this adorable pumpkin latte cup by Nika Onishko. Its the perfect addition to your sims fall kitchen decor, coffee shops, or office book nooks!

A few things to know:

• This particular download is decorative, not a functional drink. I know, I know. But it's still super cute! You can find the cup in the Sculptures section of Buy Mode, making it perfect for decorating for fall. Actually, I could make this semi-functional, by updating a few things in simPE so that you could at least allow sims to add it to the fridge as a fresh food item. Let me know if you would like that besties?

3. Fresh Out the Oven: Rich, Velvety Pumpkin Pie by HugeLunatic

Okay, lets continue on with another functional food item, because I just love the experience of watching the animations the sims use to make any food in the game. So next up, we have a custom pumpkin pie made by HugeLunatic that I am just fawning for. This custom dessert comes with its own food preparation ingredients and uses the same cooking skill requirements as the game's original berry pie. So all in all, you can just drop this item in your downloads folder, with no extra fluff, and have your sim whip up a pumpkin pie in no time.

But before you do that, I actually have a confession to make. As much as I know everyone loves a good pumpkin pie; as a southern girlie with soul food roots myself, I'd actually go feral for a sweet potato pie instead. Which got me thinking, instead of having my sims serve pumpkin pie, I want their in-game food menu to say Sweet Potatoes Pie. And friend, its such any easy thing to do, so I put together a seperate tutorial showing you how to change custom food menu names in The Sims 2, so you can make this adjustment for your game as well!

A few things to know:

• According to HugeLunatics mod the sims download page, you will need the Open For Business expansion pack in order to have this food in your game. So if you have Legacy or The Ultimate Collection, you should be good to go! Otherwise I would skip this download and find something base game compatible.

Well, I'm talking about it, friend, because it's the kind of seasonal clutter that's absolutely perfect for The Sims 2! If you've ever wondered how other Simmers get their games looking so aesthetically pleasing, here's the secret: it's the clutter that brings the realism and the lighting that creates the aesthetic. Those two things are such a simple but powerful combination! And when you pair this adorable cinnamon decor with the freshly baked cinnamon rolls and pumpkin spice lattes from earlier, babes, you've got yourself a cozy little fall game that looks straight out of Pinterest!
